blah, blah, blah

Back from my one day business trip. 3 & 1/2 hour drive one way. Went to Raleigh Wednesday afternoon. The company put us in a crappy hotel. It was a holiday inn but in a really old building. Room was clean but nothing worked right. Sliding door, once opened wouldn't close, A/C wasn't working. It was a royal pain. Instead of the staff assisting with the room change my co-worker had to go to the front desk and get her key to her new room, which didn't work when she got to the room, she had to move her own bags. It was just a bad experience all the way around. No complimentary anything for the inconvenience. I made sure the cooperate staff knew that the hotel wasn't worth the discount they must be getting.

Spent the entire day sitting in a classroom that was either too cold or too hot. Learning a new program that the company has purchased (with our raises since we are on a raise freeze at present) to assist with our education tracking. Once the initial input is in the program will more informative then the old one. There is so much that has to be entered and soon. There are only two of us that will be doing it. I seem to get myself into a mess without really trying.

I do computer input for the facility I work for. We do all our physician order and medication administration records (MARs) and treatment administration record (TAR) in the computer. That means any new order that the doctor writes or the nurses take has to be put into the system. There are two of us to do this also. Hasn't been much to it until the last two weeks. I took a few days off and when I went back the shit had hit the fan. We are way behind. The other woman doing input got behind because another office has one person out for surgery and another one just quit, leaving her to do their input. Round and round we go. Anyhow, I will now try, in the next week, to get things caught up. We print monthly records around the 24th of each month. That means I've go a few days to get this mess straight.

Well I've pissed and moaned long enough. I got home a little after 9PM and it's about midnight so I'm finally unwinding. Thanks for listening. If I unload on you it makes me a nicer person to live with. More later.

Were you out of town to attend training or to provide input for a beta test?

It sure is bullshit when an organization can't step up and provide accomodations for people when they are asked to be out of their own homes!!

Hello!

What's going on with you? I need a post.

Bob called tonight. He was in MN for two weeks, then he worked last week out of town, so now he's around. He sounds pretty good, except he fell on his grandkids' slip and slide and messed up a bunch of stuff... :-) shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it!

Call me, post, email, or come see me.

that is all
