Week of Hell

Vacations over. We'd been home about 5 hours. I go to the deep freeze to get something out of the freezer for dinner. (it was nice to have a freezer to go to again) I pull on the freezer door and there's no resistance. Shit! The door's been left open, at least 24 hours, maybe more. Everything is thawed out and I do mean everything. It's all very cold but thawed. Anger and panic surge through me. I so wanted to blame some one. I know it was one of the two young adults that had been at the house for the week, but why point fingers, it won't change anything. I pulled everything out, it fit in two huge plastic buckets. I called work to see if any one there could use any of it. No one called back. Hubby took half of it to his sister (youngest), she still has 4 kids at home. The rest we gave to a guy that just got his house and had no food yet. I still threw out pounds of french fries, tater tots, hash browns and vegetables. By Wednesday most of the meat had been replaced.

While I was packing the new meat for the freezer some one rang the door bell. That never happens here. People we know come to the back door and usually knock as they're coming in. Hubby answered the door accompanied by our 6 year old grand daughter. There was a police officer at the door. I was still in the kitchen until grand daughter came into the kitchen and said,"Nannie there's a policeman here and he wants to take my mommy to jail." I stopped what I was doing and went to the door. The officer was saying that it would be best if my daughter turned herself in. I told him I would bring her in when she got home from work. It seems she failed to go to court for a charge of D.U.I. and unsafe maneuver. To make a long story short she's out on a $500 bond and has to go to court next month. She says the D.U.I. was to be taken off the ticket because she blew below the legal limit. I'll just wait until court and find out.

Then doctor's appointment for nerve conduction test and I have to have surgery. Ain't life grand. Severe carpal tunnel in the left hand and moderate in the right hand. Don't know when. You know how it works, go to one doctor get a referral, go to the referral and get a diagnosis then back to the first doctor to be sent to the surgeon. I so want to go back to the camp ground. Bass tracker take me away.

I have a stress test tomorrow. Can't wait. I've been off caffeine for several hours now and I'm pissy. Enough. I'll try to stay in touch better. Summers coming to an end so I won't be as busy. Our temperatures went from 100 degrees last week to 75 degrees this week.

Do you have a lock for the freezer? I used to lock mine and hang the key.

Rule: key must be used and replaced when freezer is used. fairlure to do so is punishable by death - or everyone has to pitch in for food replacement cost.

Have you explored any alternative therapies for carpel tunnel? Thing 1 has it and so do I. Our chiropractor has done wonders.

DUI, oy. Honestly, did she not read the ticket? Christ. I'm sure it said to go to court. Does that girl ever think about consequences?

Sorry, it just amazes me.

Please take care of yourself first. You are getting too old for this shit. (said with loads of love in my tone!!!)
