Well, the new bedroom furniture is in the bedroom. I've decided it's easier to move than get new stuff. I spent Monday lifting, tugging, pulling, pushing and sliding every piece of furniture out of two bedrooms. Total of 4 dresser (all 9 drawer), a set of bunk beds, a queen size bed and tables, etc. etc. Then I helped load most of the stuff on a trailer. I gave the stuff away. I had to put it some where and every corner of my place is full.
New arrived on Tuesday. So, Monday night husband (JD) and I slept on an air bed. The one we'll be taking camping in a week. It had never been blown up before, so it'd never been stretched out before. Good little girl that I am, I read the directions and it said to only fill it 80% full, so I did. Well, some where around 3AM I wake up snuggled so close to JD it was uncomfortable. I try to roll over, nothing. There was a small hill to be climbed. We had both sagged to the middle of the bed. Giggling, I hoist myself up the hill and settle in. As long as neither one of us moved everything was OK. Then, 5:30 AM, JD gets up and holy shit, down I went. Not a nice, settle into a lower level. No, no couldn't be that nice. My ass bone bounced off the floor. After the pain subsided I continued to try and sleep folded in half as I was. In my mind I kept thinking, just get up and put more air in this thing but my body wouldn't move. Needless to say, the sleep wasn't good and I discovered that places that have never hurt before hurt now.
No rest for the wicked. Tuesday, do the rest of the clean-up. Do you have any idea how many dust bunnies live under your furniture? There were some in the corners that could have carried me away. Oh, 1:30 PM, quick, shower, drive like a crazy person to the dentist. (I hate the dentist) Hour or so goes by, face numb, just half. My tongue feels like it's 100 times bigger than it should be and back home. Delivery truck in the yard. They finished set-up about 8:30 PM.
Now we have two trundle beds in one bedroom. Natural pine. I really like them. In the master bedroom, my perfect bed. It's a king size bed, I've never had one before and I love it. It's huge, I don't just mean the space it takes up, it's tall. I have to climb into it. I went back to the furniture store and bought some bed stairs. You have to understand. I'm 5'2", round and lovable. It is not attractive or easy for me to get in this bed. I put a small step stool on my side so I can get in and out without breaking my neck. JD is over 6' so he doesn't have any trouble. I got a dresser and two 5 drawer chests. Two bedside tables too. I had to go get lamps for the tables. When it's all together I'll attempt to post some pics. This is the first time since I left my parents home I've had a set of furniture in my bedroom that matches, I'm so proud.
Anyway, I've spent all week working on these rooms. My #2 daughter is working on her room, that is, putting everything away. I've almost got everything out of the livingroom and off the back porch. My but I have collect a lot of crap.
#1 daugher has inherited all the queen size sheets, she is very pleased. I had to buy some linen for these wonderful beds. I had no idea. I haven't bought a quanity of linen in years I almost fainted, but we'll be comfy in our beds.
IT RAINED. Three evenings in a row it has rained. I know parts of the country are getting pounded by rain but we haven't had any in over a month. My yard is starting to show signs of green again. The water restrictions are still on. It's not that you can't water at all you just have to rotate. Odd #'s one day and even #'s the next. Doesn't matter, I wouldn't water my yard any way. It use to be a field and all that grows are nice green weeds that we keep cut.
I haven't seen my grandsons in two weeks and I'm suffering. I have to take #1 daughter to the dentist on Monday and I have to go in for a stress test on Tuesday so maybe I can get them on Wednesday, or Tuesday night. My grand daughter has been at her dad's this week. She called yesterday morning and left 4 messages. They were so cute. She's only six. She introduced herself and said a couple things, hung up and called back to say a couple more things. She starts back to school on Monday, 1st grade.
Enough is enough. It's after 1 AM I just heard the TV in the bedroom go off, that's my cue to call it quits for the night. Good thoughts to all.
