New Year

We had a very quiet and comfortable New Years Eve. It was wonderful. Watched a couple movies and we were just home together. No grandkids, no noise, no confusion. I could learn to like it like that.

Being the first of a new year I got busy with new experiences. I put a bridle on 'Dee' (Tennessee Walker) and took a very short ride in the yard. Boy am I out of shape. I had trouble keeping my balance. I'll just keep getting on everyday and work on my weaknesses. It was wonderful to be on a horse again. He was so gentle and easy to control. He needs to fatten up a bit, I'm working on that.

My Christmas was great. Hubby's dad came in for his annual visit. He usually stays at my sister-in-law's but this year he stayed with us. It was good. My husband didn't get to see much of his dad when he was young, divorce. Now it's really important to hubby to spend as much time with him as possible. They are so much a like.

Christmas was good I got the horses and way too many things. I over did it for the kids. I always do. We ate too much, way too much. I made fudge about 10 lbs of it. I took some to work and put at each nurse's station.

Today I usually make corned beef and cabbage. Not this year. I'm fixing a huge pot of mixed beans. It smells great.

Hope everyone has great new year. Thanks for letting me unload my thoughts on you. Journals don't express opinions or make suggestions.
